Here’s what happened during Summer of Tech 2016:
We had over 3,000 students registered on the SoT website, with 1,500+ completing their profiles, so being “available” for summer internships. (NOTE: we had a grand total of 177 internship placements, but the demographics info below was generated off a subset of 166 of these confirmed during Offers Week).

We ran over 100 bootcamps in 3 cities between March & August 2016. Industry volunteers upskilled students in professional and technical skills, software development, design, software testing, agile, security, front end, DevOps & data topics, as well as field trips, hackfests & networking events with employers.

Internship roles for Summer of Tech 2016. We had an increase in DevOps and Security roles this year, as well as a continuation of the demand for software testers we saw emerging in 2014.
