Health and Safety at SoT Events
The health and safety of Aotearoa is supremely important to us, and we will be guided by the NZ government Alert Level rules for running in-person events.
Alert Levels 2, 3, 4
We cannot run any in-person events at alert levels greater than 1. This includes Bootcamps, Create Camps, Meet & Greet, and Speed Interviews. If the Covid alert level goes above 1, we will do everything we can to move these events online, ideally with the same timing. To attend our events online, you will need to be registered for the events as usual. You will also need access to a computer that has video call equipment (a webcam and microphone), and a reliable internet connection. We will email everyone who is registered for these events with more details as soon as they are known.
Alert Level 1 health & safety message:
If you or any of your team are feeling unwell or have been in close contact with someone who is unwell, please do not attend our in-person event(s)! We want to make sure everyone is feeling safe, healthy, and comfortable. We will have QR codes available for contact tracing purposes. Please scan in on arrival or report to the registration desk for the pen & paper version of contact tracing.
Please bear in mind that some attendees will be uneasy being at in-person events. Even if you are comfortable attending, others might not be. Please respect their choice to socially distance, wear a mask, and refuse close contact like handshakes.
We will always have a chill-out space available, and there’s no pressure for anyone to stick around if they’re not comfortable. We will have hand sanitiser available - please use it frequently if you are shaking hands, eating food, or touching surfaces… that includes everyone!
If we are able to run our Meet & Greet event(s) in-person please consider NOT shaking hands. We are encouraging hands behind the back or over the heart when you meet someone. Please respect this, and follow cues to land an elbow bump, a friendly chin/eyebrow lift, nod, wave or bow.
