Bootcamp Highlights - Agile 101

A huge thank you to Polly and Ant from BNZ who came to Victoria on Tuesday to give an overview of Agile and just what it’s all about. Agile is an approach used in many organisations, and having a basic understanding of what it is makes it less daunting when heading into a new job.In this bootcamp, the students participated in some interactive activities to engage with each other, and to really start thinking about how Agile can be useful.  The presenters then went into more detail about how Agile is used, covering terms from Scrum and Kanban, through to retrospectives and backlogs. It is important to remember that there is no right way to do Agile and different companies and organisations use it differently depending on how it works best for them. As a result, you should expect to learn a lot about Agile and its methodologies when starting a new job, whether you’ve had an internship before or have just landing your first job. Overall, this was a very engaging bootcamp, with a lot of chocolate given out by BNZ and questions asked by students. If you missed out on attending or would like a refresh on what was covered, the information shared in the event can be found here: https://www.slideshare.net/secret/aE2IXsQckm2Jsg
