SoT Internships are full-time, paid, entry-level IT & Design roles, usually from mid-November to mid-February. They're for students at New Zealand tertiary institutions, regardless of what you're studying, or what stage of your qualification you are at, you just need to be interested & excited about kick-starting your tech career. What you may lack in experience, you can make up for in motivation & passion to learn, fast!

We help students prepare, research and apply for paid work experience and entry-level jobs in ICT & digital design roles during the university summer holidays. During the year, we prepare you for work through exposure to the technical topics & skills that are in demand by local employers, through our bootcamp programme.

We offer internships for web and software developers, devOps, digital design, app development, user experience, business analytics and much more! If you want to know more about the specific internships available, feel free to ask us any questions or read the past intern experiences on our blog.

You don’t need skills or experience, just an interest in a tech career, and the motivation and passion to learn and develop your skills on the job!

In 2017, we launched Marketing and HR internships in Wellington! Summer of Biz works in exactly the same way as Summer of Tech, but our bootcamps focus on Marketing & HR topics, and internships are in those disciplines too. Click on the photo above to check out the SoB site!

Summer of Biz internships are offered in marketing strategy, communications, digital marketing, social media, HR, event management, recruitment & more.

No experience is required, just a passion for business and enthusiasm for the job!
