2022 Recruitment Update

March Meet & Greet Infographic: 45 live roles, 12 orgs, 27 rooms, 95 candidates and 298 meetings.

For the past couple of years, we have seen an increased demand for interns and graduates to join the Aotearoa tech industry. This year we are running 3 recruitment “seasons”, giving candidates and employers more opportunities to connect.

We ran a small Meet & Greet event for 12 employers and 100 student/graduate candidates during March. We’ve celebrated 15 placements, including 3 “winter” internships and 12 full-time grad roles.

With an increase in roles listed (vs this time last year), and a decrease in candidate numbers, 2022 is already more competitive for employers seeking newbies to join their team.

We have seen a nice increase in candidates during the past week and hope this continues as in-person campus events have begun for the year.

By September, we expect over 2,000 candidates to be active on our platform.

Our next recruitment season is in June, with both grad roles and internships available at our Meet & Greet event on the 15th of June. Our final one is in September, which is traditionally the busiest event for hiring summer interns.

So now is a great time to sign up if you’re a student or graduate looking for a tech internship or grad role!
