SoT Internships are paid, full-time, entry-level IT & Design & Marketing roles, usually from mid-November to mid-February.
Graduate roles are paid, entry-level tech roles. We also have part-time and contract roles.
They're for students and recent graduates of New Zealand tertiary institutions, regardless of what you're studying, or what stage of your qualification you are at, you just need to be interested & excited about kick-starting your tech career.
What you may lack in experience, you can make up for in motivation & passion to learn, fast!

Prepare
Free bootcamps (workshops and talks) to help you prepare for a career in Tech. Our workshops and talks are run by experienced industry professionals – they’ll share what you REALLY need to know to get your first professional tech role.
Showcase
Your profile on our website includes your CV, portfolio, technical skills summary, and everything else employers want to see before they meet you. Our team will help you get everything set up. We have bootcamps to help with CVs, portfolios and profiles. We also have 1:1 feedback with industry volunteers to help you make a great first impression!

Meet
After researching the companies, you can meet them in real life at our summer internship recruitment events. We’ll help you research and prepare, so you’re feeling confident and ready to ask great questions.
Our intern recruitment events are in September, for summer internships starting October/November.
2024 Summer Recruitment Key Dates
Meet & Greet 17th (AKL), 19th (WLG) & 23rd September (online)
Speed Interviews 26th-27th September and Offers Day 8th October
Get hired
The hiring process is managed off our website, and it’s up to companies to offer role(s) to their preferred candidates.
Summer internship offers happen in early October.
For graduate roles employers can run their own recruitment process throughout the year.
Internships
Full time, paid summer jobs! Usually mid November to mid February, our internship roles are entry level IT and Design jobs, with a mentor to support and guide you.
This is real life work experience, to kick-start your tech career in NZ.
