Git is an online open source control system that lets you collaborate on a project with your teams. It gives you an easy way to connect into other projects, letting you back up your code and simultaneously work on a project with your teammates without losing work.
Suki and Kirk from Xero are happy to teach you the basics on how to use the system in the slides, but their biggest piece of advice is to use the command line as much as possible. It helps you understand exactly how the GUI's work, expanding your knowledge of the system as a whole!
